California College Transition Summit Meeting
On October 29, 2009, the California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project (CALPRO) in conjunction with the California Department of Education (CDE) conducted the California College Transition Summit Meeting. At this professional development event California’s adult education administrators and leaders were introduced to the policy, research, and program practice associated with transitioning adult learners to college. Presentations made by national and state adult education leaders (including U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education Dr. Brenda Dann-Messier) addressed the compelling economic and social need to strengthen college transition services to adult basic education students and provided examples in practice of the approaches to developing those services. Following are the videos of each Summit Meeting presenter by name and presentation title.
