Registration Deadline: Universal Design for Learning: Developing Programs for Adults with Learning Disabilities

This CoP incorporates the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework and introduces accommodations and modifications that support learning, self-determination, and success. 
This interactive community of practice offers an opportunity to discuss the challenges adult education professionals face while supporting adults with learning disabilities and share strategies and tools that work. 

This CoP takes place on Moodle and at Grossmont Adult Education and runs for 8 consecutive weeks, from 03/31/2025 to 05/25/2025. There will be asynchronous online activities, including forum discussions and job-embedded lesson planning/implementation, before, in-between, and after the required face-to-face and synchronous online sessions. 

The three-hour in-person session is scheduled for Friday, April 25, 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm at Grossmont Adult Education, and the 3-hour synchronous session via Zoom is on Friday, May 9, 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm.

Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate of participation (16 hours).

This tailored regional CoP is designed for the Grossmont Adult Education staff and teachers.

There is no registration fee to participate; CALPRO professional development opportunities are available to all California Adult Education Program (CAEP) agencies and employees.
