This video demonstrates how adult education and career technical education (CTE) instructors can align CTE Model Curriculum Standards with the College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education (CCRS) and English Language Proficiency Standards for Adult Education (ELPS) to develop contextualized, integrated instruction. Viewers are guided through a practical process for identifying connections across technical, academic, and language standards and using those connections to inform lesson planning. The video highlights how thoughtful standards alignment can support the concurrent delivery of workforce preparation, workforce training, and adult education and literacy activities within Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs while helping learners build the academic, language, and technical skills needed for success in postsecondary education and employment.
